The PADI Open Water Diver course is the first certification for recreational scuba diving. The course consists of three modules:
(a) Knowledge Development (scuba theory)
- takes between 4 - 6 hours to complete
(b) Confined Water (pool training)
- takes between 4 - 6 hours to complete
(c) Open Water Dives - 4 dives in the sea required for certificationWe normally conduct the Knowledge Development and Confined Water sessions over 2 days in Kuala Lumpur before taking the students to the island to complete their Open Water dives (2 days required).
Currently, PADI also offer the option of completing the entire Knowledge Development session online i.e. without having to attend any classes at our dive centre.
